Originally from the Brabant area of Belgium, the Belgian Draft is a muscular, strong, and heavy horse that is usually referenced as among the strongest horse breeds on the world. They are commonly a light chestnut, with a flaxen (lighter color compared to the body) mane plus tail, making for the strikingly beautiful horse. They have well-shaped and small relatively heads, with strong backs and arched necks. They are currently used today as working animals and may also be well-known show horses and pleasure riding horses.
