Tomatoes are loaded with vitamin C and many other nutrients. But, you need to stay away from eating tomatoes on an empty stomach because it contains tannic acid.

This acid will lead to an increase in the level of acid that’s currently in your stomach which may cause gastric problems that are usually painful.

So if you currently have stomach problems like ulcers, it is advisable to avoid such acidic foods for your own well-being.

4. Sweets

Sugar may be easy to digest but when it enters an empty stomach, it prevents your body from secreting adequate insulin necessary to keep its required levels in your blood.

Once this happens, you can easily get eye problems. Even worse, sweets disrupt the balance of alkalines and acids within your body. And so, if you have diabetes or if you are at risk of contracting it, stay away from sweets altogether.
