Life’s 101 was created to help solve those problems.
Where It Started
The idea behind Life’s 101 grew from a simple backyard experience.
Adam Smith had spent years working with and learning about gardens and outdoor spaces, but living with an active dog changed the way he looked at garden design.
His dog had developed a habit of repeatedly running along the same area of the yard, eventually wearing down the lawn and damaging plants nearby. The first instinct was to keep the dog away from the area.
But the usual barriers and repairs didn’t solve the problem.
Adam began looking at the situation differently: instead of constantly trying to stop the dog from using the garden in a particular way, why not make the garden work better with the dog’s natural behavior?
That question became the foundation for a broader interest in dog-friendly outdoor spaces.
